Series 7.  No: 21 Recorded Sunday 24th February 1957. Script by Spike Milligan. First broadcast Thursday 28th February 1957. This is the story of poor misguided Neddie trying to set fire to the English Channel, le channel anglais' and claim the forty thousand naughty pounds insurance policy.

Seagoon: I immediately took a train to Normans Bay Halt... where-upon I noticed it was snowing... the snow lay heavily on the ground as I walked across the beach towards the sea… then I saw what looked like a sun-bather... complete with own deck chair and swimming goggles…

Eccles: Hullo… yer - it's a good job I got dis termometer inside dis flask of boiling water - otherwise we'd all freeze to death...
